Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position in a Level III trauma setting requiring NH or compact license and strong ICU clinical skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 10-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) within a hospital environment
• Patient population ranges from adolescent to geriatric
• Level III trauma unit with RN-to-patient ratio of 2:1
• Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, includes every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed
• May be required to float to the Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Uses arterial lines, IV drips, ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and vaso pressor medications
• May be expected to fulfill charge or preceptor duties if needed
• Only candidates residing over 50 miles from the facility will be considered
• No more than 5 days of time off can be requested during the assignment, and all requests must be noted prior to offer
• All compliance documents and health requirements must be completed within 72 hours of offer acceptance
• First-time travelers not specifically excluded

Requirements

• Active NH or compact RN license required at time of submission
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Experience with Epic EMR system required
• Arterial line experience required
• Proficient with IV drips, ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and vaso pressors
• Must have own vehicle for transportation
