Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position specializing in ophthalmology procedures, requiring a GA or compact RN license and at least 2 years of OR experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in an outpatient ophthalmology operating room setting
- Primary focus on ophthalmic surgical procedures
- Day shift, 8-hour shifts, five days per week, with a schedule of 6:45am to 3:15pm
- Call and DOT shifts are required as part of the schedule
- 13-week assignment length
- No local candidates within 50 miles are accepted
- Works as part of a surgical team focused on ophthalmology cases
- First-time travelers are accepted if all requirements are met
- Returning staff who were permanent employees must have a two-year break before returning as travelers
- All requests for time off must be submitted in advance
- Scrub or dress code details are not specified
Requirements
- Active GA or compact state RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of operating room nursing experience required
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
