Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position specializing in ophthalmology procedures, requiring a GA or compact RN license and at least 2 years of OR experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in an outpatient ophthalmology operating room setting
• Primary focus on ophthalmic surgical procedures
• Day shift, 8-hour shifts, five days per week, with a schedule of 6:45am to 3:15pm
• Call and DOT shifts are required as part of the schedule
• 13-week assignment length
• No local candidates within 50 miles are accepted
• Works as part of a surgical team focused on ophthalmology cases
• First-time travelers are accepted if all requirements are met
• Returning staff who were permanent employees must have a two-year break before returning as travelers
• All requests for time off must be submitted in advance
• Scrub or dress code details are not specified

Requirements

• Active GA or compact state RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of operating room nursing experience required
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
