Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position in California requiring a CA RN license and strong procedural nursing skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Interventional Radiology unit of a hospital setting
• Care for both adult and pediatric patients, including high-acuity ICU cases
• Day shift schedule with four 10-hour shifts from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm
• Weekend shifts are not required, but weekend and weeknight on-call may be required
• Responsibilities can include starting IVs, accessing ports, administering medications, moderate sedation, and managing ventilators
• Assist with anesthesia for induction, intubation, and extubation
• Must abide by radiation safety regulations
• Primary responsibilities include compassionate patient care, medication and procedure administration, and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Must demonstrate thorough and accurate documentation of procedures and patient information
• Responsible for supporting efficient workflow by assisting in room preparation and turnover with a multidisciplinary team
• Staff returning as travelers must have been away for at least one year
• Only one holiday will be approved for requested time off during the assignment

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years recent nursing experience required unless otherwise noted
• Experience in Interventional Radiology or procedural nursing preferred; ICU or ED experience will be considered
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Must be available to complete lab work within 3-5 days of assignment acceptance
• 50-mile radius rule applies for eligibility
