Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN for a 13-week day shift contract in Texas, requiring an active TX or compact RN license and at least one year of recent experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital setting on the 5th Floor Heart Tower Medical Unit
• Patient population includes general medical-surgical cases
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 13-week contract assignment
• No local candidates accepted due to a 50-mile radius requirement
• Provide care for adult medical-surgical patients in an acute care hospital unit
• References must be from a clinical supervisor or manager
• Scrub or dress code requirements not specified
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification required, valid through the first month of assignment
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• At least one professional reference required
