Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position with night shifts and a Wisconsin or compact license requirement.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Med/Surg Tele unit of a hospital setting
• Night shifts, 12 hours each, from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
• Every other weekend required, Friday through Sunday
• Travelers are the first to float and may be scheduled in multiple units or locations based on staffing needs
• Patient care requires telemetry and basic arrhythmia monitoring
• Utilizes Epic EMR; recent Epic experience preferred
• Parking onsite requires a permit; alternative transportation options available
• Travelers may have shifts in multiple departments if the primary department's need changes during the assignment
• Work in a Magnet-designated, nationally recognized hospital environment
• Be prepared for a dynamic and challenging nursing environment

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license from permanent address state
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
• At least two years of acute care experience within the past three years
• Basic arrhythmia competency required; must pass Telemetry test before starting
• Epic EMR experience within the last 12 months is preferred
• Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the assigned work site
