Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position with night shifts and a Wisconsin or compact license requirement.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Med/Surg Tele unit of a hospital setting
- Night shifts, 12 hours each, from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
- Every other weekend required, Friday through Sunday
- Travelers are the first to float and may be scheduled in multiple units or locations based on staffing needs
- Patient care requires telemetry and basic arrhythmia monitoring
- Utilizes Epic EMR; recent Epic experience preferred
- Parking onsite requires a permit; alternative transportation options available
- Travelers may have shifts in multiple departments if the primary department's need changes during the assignment
- Work in a Magnet-designated, nationally recognized hospital environment
- Be prepared for a dynamic and challenging nursing environment
Requirements
- Active WI or compact RN license from permanent address state
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
- At least two years of acute care experience within the past three years
- Basic arrhythmia competency required; must pass Telemetry test before starting
- Epic EMR experience within the last 12 months is preferred
- Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the assigned work site
