Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in a Level III trauma center requiring a current MN RN license and advanced emergency certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 15-bed Emergency Department with 4 fast track rooms and 1 triage area
• Acute care setting with a patient population typical of a Level III trauma center
• Nurse-to-patient ratios range from 1:3 to 1:4
• Uses Epic EMR and Accudose, with training provided during orientation
• 12-hour rotating day, evening, and night shifts with every other or every third weekend and holiday required
• Floating to medical-surgical (MS) units as needed
• Responsible for implementing the nursing process for emergency patients, including assessment, intervention, and documentation
• No call requirement and nurses never work alone
• Navy blue scrubs required
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Returning employees must not have worked at any Sanford Health location within the last 6 months
• Local candidates within an 80-mile radius will be considered

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years recent experience in an Emergency Room
• Current AHA certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS, and TNCC required
• Experience working in an ED with at least 28,000 annual visits preferred
• Experience in a Level III trauma center or higher strongly preferred
