Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring high-risk pregnancy expertise and previous travel experience in a large hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit
• Care for high-risk pregnancies and deliveries
• 12-hour day shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., three days per week
• Epic EMR is used and experience is required
• Floating to nearby sister hospitals may be required
• Provide comprehensive assessment, direct patient care, and patient education for high-risk Labor & Delivery patients
• Demonstrate use of emergency procedures and equipment specific to the unit
• Maintain accurate documentation following established guidelines
• Operate within policies ensuring patient safety, confidentiality, and satisfaction
• Not open to local candidates within 50 miles of the facility
• Uniform and dress code policy must be followed
• Travelers are limited to one calendar year on assignment and must take a 30-60 day break before returning

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of an Associate's degree from an accredited nursing program
• Previous travel nursing experience in high-risk Labor & Delivery within a large hospital required
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
