Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for an outpatient clinic setting, requiring ARDMS or CCI certification and a focus on high-quality routine echocardiograms.

Responsibilities

• Work in an outpatient cardiology clinic
• Primary responsibility is performing regular echocardiograms, with no vascular or stress testing
• Possible floating between clinic locations within scope as needed
• Patient population primarily adult cardiology outpatients
• Day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (5x8 hours)
• Uses Epic EMR; Epic experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Travelers may be asked to float to other affiliated locations within the state as needed
• Parking pass provided; location is near major freeways
• No rate differential for local candidates
• Return policy: Former perm staff must wait at least 3 months to return as a traveler and must live more than 50 miles from the facility
• Minimal to no RTO (requested time off) is preferred; requests must be submitted prior to offer
• COVID and flu vaccination documentation may be required

Requirements

• Current ARDMS or CCI certification required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred; 1 year will be considered
• Experience with routine adult echocardiograms in an outpatient or similar setting
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Social Security card and driver’s license required for consideration
• Minimum of two supervisory references covering one year of employment within the last three years in a comparable specialty/setting
