Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced PACU RN with a current CA license, ACLS, and BLS certification for 12-hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) of a hospital setting
• Care is provided for surgical patients in the immediate postoperative period
• Schedule is three 12-hour day shifts per week, 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM
• May require use of Epic for charting, with Epic experience preferred
• Responsibilities include providing direct and immediate postoperative care to surgical patients
• Must use the nursing process, medical therapeutics, and technological interventions effectively
• Completion of modules and e-learning as part of orientation is required
• Only one holiday time off request will be approved during the contract
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles away from the facility for travel assignment eligibility
• Locals are accepted at a local pay rate
• Return staff may be considered only if gone for at least one year

Requirements

• Current and active CA RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or American Red Cross in hand
• Minimum of 2 years PACU nursing experience required
• Ability to complete lab work within 3-5 days of signing
• Ability to provide a 7-year work history verification
• Must provide two supervisor references obtained within the past year
