Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Long Term Care facility in WI, requiring an active WI or compact RN license and current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in a long term care nursing home setting
• Full time PM shift from 2pm to 10pm, working every other weekend
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• Provide day-to-day nursing care, including resident assessments, medication administration, and wound care
• Communicate significant changes in resident condition to physicians and families
• Assist CNAs with answering call lights and monitor residents for changes in condition
• Maintain accurate and thorough resident charting
• Act as a leader on the floor, assessing and directing as needed
• Report any allegations of abuse, neglect, or misappropriation to nursing leadership

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Two-year degree in nursing required, four-year degree preferred
• A minimum of one year of long term care or related nursing experience preferred
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail required
