Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an X-Ray Technologist with at least one year of Level 1 trauma experience for a busy acute care setting.
Responsibilities
- Work in a fast-paced X-ray department within a Level 1 Trauma, Magnet, and teaching hospital
- Perform general diagnostic imaging for Emergency Department and inpatient units
- Day shifts with possible 4x8 or 5x8 hour schedules and varied start times (7:00am, 7:30am, or 8:00am)
- Every third weekend rotation is required
- No call or floating to other units or sister facilities
- Use of Epic EMR; Epic experience preferred but training is provided during orientation
- First-time travelers are considered for this role
- Scrub color is hunter green
- Free parking provided with badge access
- Must complete pre-start modules as required by specialty
- Returning employees must have a 12 month gap before reapplying
- Up to 5 days of requested time off may be submitted at time of application
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel staff
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of X-ray technologist experience in a Level 1 trauma setting
- Current ARRT and BLS certification required
- Proof of high school level education is required
- Surgery experience preferred
- License required if applicable
- Must be able to provide documentation for all required certifications prior to start
- Pending state license not accepted
