Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an X-Ray Technologist with at least one year of Level 1 trauma experience for a busy acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fast-paced X-ray department within a Level 1 Trauma, Magnet, and teaching hospital
• Perform general diagnostic imaging for Emergency Department and inpatient units
• Day shifts with possible 4x8 or 5x8 hour schedules and varied start times (7:00am, 7:30am, or 8:00am)
• Every third weekend rotation is required
• No call or floating to other units or sister facilities
• Use of Epic EMR; Epic experience preferred but training is provided during orientation
• First-time travelers are considered for this role
• Scrub color is hunter green
• Free parking provided with badge access
• Must complete pre-start modules as required by specialty
• Returning employees must have a 12 month gap before reapplying
• Up to 5 days of requested time off may be submitted at time of application
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel staff

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of X-ray technologist experience in a Level 1 trauma setting
• Current ARRT and BLS certification required
• Proof of high school level education is required
• Surgery experience preferred
• License required if applicable
• Must be able to provide documentation for all required certifications prior to start
• Pending state license not accepted
