Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a LTAC Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position requiring ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications.

Responsibilities

• Position is in an LTAC Med/Surg Tele unit
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:00
• Care for a patient ratio of 1:6
• Weekend shifts are required as needed
• Requires either two on-call shifts or two additional shifts per 6 weeks
• Floating may be required to lower acuity levels within skillset based on staffing needs
• Epic EMR experience is preferred but not required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• All requested time off must be declared during initial consideration; changes after submission are not accepted
• Attendance policy limits missed shifts to two per 13-week contract without reasonable explanation
• Candidates must pass a cardiac dysrhythmia test on the first day of orientation
• No block scheduling accommodated

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required, pending license may be considered if obtained before starting
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year recent Med/Surg Tele experience required, 2 years preferred
• Must pass arrhythmia and medication tests on the first day
• Must be able to shave to pass onsite N95 fit testing if required
• Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius; local candidates are not accepted
