Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist for evening shifts, requiring at least 2 years of acute care MRI experience and active BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in an MRI unit serving in-patient, outpatient, and emergency room populations
• Perform the full spectrum of MRI studies, except cardiac MRI
• Utilizes GE MRI equipment with preference for prior GE experience
• EPIC EMR used for charting
• Evening shifts, 5x8 hours from 13:30 to 22:00
• On-call required: one 8.5-hour weekday on-call every week and one 24-hour weekend on-call every 5 weeks
• Contract assignment is 13 weeks in duration
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Black scrubs required as dress code
• Returning employees must have at least a 1-year break from previous employment within the health system to be eligible
• Team serves a variety of patient populations including ER, inpatient, and outpatient cases
• Open or active background or license issues are not accepted

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of acute care MRI experience required, or 1.5 years if experienced with GE MRI
• Active NJ or Compact license required if applicable
• BLS certification required
• ARRT (preferred) or ARMRIT certification; ARMRIT must have sat for ARRT as well as ARRT(R)(MR)
• Proficiency in performing a full range of MRI procedures
• Experience with EPIC charting system preferred
