Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift contract requiring every other weekend and a SC or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in an ICU setting at a hospital
• Patient ratio is 1:2
• Required to work night shifts (3x12 hours, 19:00–07:00)
• Every other weekend is required
• Float to med/surg telemetry units on the 3rd or 4th floor as needed
• Must fulfill either 2 additional shifts or 2 on-call shifts per 6 weeks
• Epic EMR experience is preferred but not required
• No block scheduling is accommodated
• On-call required per unit needs
• RTO must be submitted with the initial application; additional RTO will not be considered
• Travelers are subject to facility attendance policy with contract review after more than two missed shifts per contract
• Team members may be required to assist other units within scope as needed
• Required to cover assigned holidays if scheduled

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license, or eligibility for license prior to start
• Current BLS, ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years ICU RN experience preferred; 1 year will be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Not open to first-time travelers
• Must live at least 75 miles from the facility
• Must successfully pass Cardiac Dysrhythmia and Moderate Sedation tests on the first day of orientation
