Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ER Holding position with a MD or compact RN license, specializing in MS/Tele and emergency border care.

Responsibilities

• Work in the ER Holding unit within a hospital setting
• MS/Tele-ER border patient population in a fast-paced, high volume environment
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (19:30-08:00)
• Patient ratio is typically 1:6, with a daily census ranging from 10 to 40 border patients
• Floating required between ED borders, as well as to MS/T and IMC units within specialty and scope
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required as scheduled
• No pre-scheduled on-call shifts required
• Royal Blue scrub color is mandatory
• Role involves providing care for a wide range of patients with complex ED admission diagnoses
• Must work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Holiday coverage is required as determined by the schedule

Requirements

• Active RN MD state license or compact RN license is required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certifications are required
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience is required
• Experience providing care in MS/Tele, ER, or IMC settings preferred
