Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry position requiring cardiac telemetry experience, ACLS/BLS, and at least 2 years of acute care RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Hospital telemetry unit with a focus on cardiac patients
• Patient diagnoses include heart failure, respiratory failure, NSTEMI, COPD, and pneumonia
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00pm-7:00am) with every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed
• Floating required as needed
• Uses EPIC EMR, prior experience mandatory
• Main responsibilities include caring for patients with complex cardiac and respiratory conditions
• First time travelers are accepted for this position
• Candidates must prepare in advance for the EKG exam, as study materials will not be provided
• Strict adherence to attendance policies is expected

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in acute care required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Cardiac telemetry experience required
• Mandatory EPIC EMR experience
• Must pass a required EKG exam (two attempts allowed) during compliance
• Must reside at least 50 miles away from the facility
