Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position specializing in interventional radiology and pediatric patient care requiring current KY or compact RN licensure and advanced certifications.

Responsibilities

• Position is in an Interventional Radiology Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (IR PACU) setting
• Care for both adult and pediatric patients in the PACU
• Requires phase 1 recovery and pediatric care experience
• Schedule consists of three 12-hour day shifts per week with rotating start times at 6:00 am, 7:00 am, or 8:00 am, varying according to unit needs
• Expect 3-4 late stays required every 6 weeks
• Responsibilities include providing post-anesthesia care to both pediatric and adult patients in an IR PACU environment
• Must be adaptable to variable shift start times based on unit needs
• Return staff must have been gone for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be disclosed prior to consideration and cannot be added afterwards
• Local candidates living within 100 miles are not eligible
• Holiday coverage may be required as per unit scheduling needs
• Two professional references from supervisors within the last three years must be provided

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required
• PALS certification required prior to start; not required at application
• Minimum of 1 year ICU experience required
• Must have PACU experience specifically in an interventional radiology setting with phase 1 recovery
• Experience caring for pediatric patients required
• No license issues or disciplinary actions permitted
