Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position with block scheduling and a requirement for an active AL or compact license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the ICU/CCU unit with adult to geriatric patient populations
• Night shifts available with options for 3x12 or 4x12 hour block scheduling
• Every other weekend (EOW) shifts are required
• Nurse to patient ratio is 1:2
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Block scheduling provides consistency for work-life balance
• Assignment includes completion of non-billable online modules as part of onboarding
• After two consecutive contracts, a 6-month break is required before returning, with exceptions considered case-by-case
• Two professional references are required for consideration

Requirements

• Active AL or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years ICU experience required
• Candidates with travel experience preferred, but highly experienced RNs may be considered
• No permanent employment at the facility within the past 10 years
• Non-local candidates only; must live more than 90 miles from facility
