Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with scrub and circulate skills and a valid MA RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital Operating Room setting
• Responsible for scrubbing and circulating in specialties such as transplant (liver and kidney), endoscopy, vascular, neuro, trauma, general surgery, pediatric, micro, and cardiac cases
• Shifts are day (5x8 hours), 12:45 to 21:15
• Call rotation includes one night every third weekend
• Responsibilities include providing intraoperative nursing care and support in a variety of complex surgical cases
• Call rotation responsibilities are shared among staff
• Compliance with hospital policies and teamwork within a multidisciplinary OR team required
• Scrub attire per hospital dress code required

Requirements

• Active MA RN license (perm or conditional accepted)
• Scrub experience required
• Ability to scrub and circulate in a wide range of specialty areas including transplant, endo, vascular, neuro, trauma, general, pedi, micro, and hearts
• Pass/fail EKG test required
• No prior issues on nursing license
• Two professional references required, with one from a Nurse Manager or higher
• Must live at least 200 miles from the facility
