Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position requiring a NY RN license and Epic EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Direct care for a range of emergency and trauma patients
• Night shift position with hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 13-week assignment
• Use of Epic EMR is required
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• Competency testing is required with two attempts permitted to pass
• Call outs exceeding three occurrences in a 13-week period will result in contract termination, with make up shifts required within six weeks
• RTO (requested time off) must be submitted at the time of application
• Candidates cannot live in or near specified local counties within a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Travel pairs are not permitted for this assignment
• Holiday coverage may be required as per unit needs

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years recent emergency department RN experience required
• Current certifications from AHA or RQI including BLS and ACLS
• Prior hands-on experience with Epic EMR is mandatory
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number required
• Medical documentation required for flu vaccine exemption; personal or religious declinations are not accepted
