Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with strong ENDO circulator/scrub skills and a VT or compact RN license for a dayshift assignment with rotating call requirements.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Operating Room of a hospital setting
• Covers perioperative services in Dental, Endoscopy, OB/GYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Podiatry, and Urology
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with 8-hour shifts
• Rotating call required for weeknights, weekends, and holidays
• Strong focus on ENDO cases with heavy orthopedic caseload
• No DaVinci robot, spine, vascular, or cardiac cases required
• Cerner EMR used; experience is highly preferred
• Must be willing to float to units where experienced
• Responsible for providing perioperative care in circulating and scrub roles during surgical procedures
• Fast-paced OR environment with multidisciplinary team support
• Must be able to take call; specific call and weekend schedule to be determined by facility
• Maximum of 5 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed

Requirements

• Active VT or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum 1 year recent OR nursing experience required
• Strong circulator and scrub experience in Endoscopy required
• Cerner experience highly preferred
• Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) certification highly preferred
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• OR skills checklist from within the last year required
• Two supervisory references from the last two years required
