Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for an outpatient clinic with a doctorate and at least 2 years of current PT experience.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient clinic focusing on individualized rehabilitative programs
• Patient population includes orthopedic, sports injuries, neurological disorders, pelvic floor dysfunction, and more
• Typical caseload is 8 patients per day Monday through Thursday and 6 patients on Friday
• Shifts are Monday through Friday during the day for 40 hours per week
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• May occasionally be required to assist with inpatient PT as needed
• Uses CPSI EMR; experience with this system is highly preferred
• Clinic is closed on major holidays
• Responsibilities include providing manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, patient education, and evaluations for patients with a wide range of diagnoses
• Patient types include post-operative care, joint replacement, back pain, tendonitis, general deconditioning, balance and vertigo issues, and more
• Must be flexible to work inpatient as needed
• A completed skills checklist current within one year and one supervisory signed reference from the past two years are required for consideration
• All requested time off must be included in the initial submission; requests after an offer will not be approved, and a maximum of 5 days RTO is allowed
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• Profile must include permanent address for eligibility
• PT clinics are closed for major holidays
• Small community work environment with limited public transport

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years current PT experience required; new graduates will not be considered
• Doctorate in Physical Therapy required
• Graduation from an accredited school of Physical Therapy required
• Must have active Vermont or compact state PT license uploaded with consideration (license required if applicable)
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required
• Must have previous rehab experience
• Previous travel experience strongly preferred
• Experience working with PTAs is preferred
• Must have own vehicle due to lack of public transportation in the area
• Must be able to evaluate and treat a range of outpatient diagnoses
• CPSI EMR experience is highly preferred
