Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring an active IA or compact RN license and strong telemetry skills.

Responsibilities

• Position is in a hospital Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Care for medical-surgical patients with telemetry monitoring
• Use of Epic EMR is required
• May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses
• Orientation dates are scheduled throughout the year
• Participate as a member of an interdisciplinary team, contributing to patient care management
• Expected to work 2 out of 3 major winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving)
• Limit of 1 day off request allowed during peak holiday timeframes (late November and late December through early January)
• Supportive team environment with orientation provided on specified dates
• Returning travelers may not have worked for the client within the last 12 months

Requirements

• Active IA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required
• At least 1 completed travel contract required
• Experience with Epic EMR required
• Driver’s license must be provided
• One supervisory reference from within the last 2 years required
• Must have taxable address more than 50 miles from the facility (exceptions may be made for Madison with reduced rate)
