Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med Surg RN with at least 6 months of experience, an active OK or compact RN license, and required certifications for a 12-hour day shift position.

Responsibilities

Work in a hospital Med Surg unit
Shifts are 12 hours, from 7:00am to 7:00pm
Day shifts with weekend coverage as needed
No on-call requirements
Cares for a diverse patient population including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
Develop and implement comprehensive nursing care plans by assessment and nursing diagnosis
Coordinate and provide leadership within interdisciplinary patient care teams
Must work cooperatively with ancillary staff and uphold professional nursing standards
Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) will be considered
Local candidates are considered at a reduced rate

Requirements

Active OK or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
Minimum 6 months of recent Med Surg nursing experience
Current BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required
