Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring a MT or compact RN license and variable day shifts with call.

Responsibilities

Work in the Operating Room of a hospital setting
Responsibilities may include circulating and scrub roles
Variable day shifts with on-call requirements
Needs flexibility to cover all shifts as required
Patient care includes perioperative nursing in surgical environments
Provide comprehensive perioperative care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team and participate in patient and family education
Adhere to protocols for stroke care and participate in annual stroke education
Demonstrate professionalism, sound judgement, and strong teamwork in a fast-paced environment
Facility may cancel up to three shifts per 13-week contract due to low census or unforeseen circumstances

Requirements

Active MT or compact RN license in hand
Minimum of 18 months RN experience required, with at least 2 years preferred
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (BSN, ADN, or Diploma)
Current BLS (AHA) certification required
ACLS (AHA) required within 6 months of hire
Preferred CNOR certification
Preferred 1 year of circulating and 1 year of scrub experience
Must reside at least 90 miles from the facility to be considered
