Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist with at least 3 years of current experience and a valid NYS license for a night shift contract position.

Responsibilities

Work in an acute care hospital setting
16-hour night shifts on Friday and Saturday from 3:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Every fourth weekend required
No on-call requirements
Utilizes EPIC EMR—experience required
Operating room experience is strongly preferred
Completion of Welle verbal de-escalation bundle training or CPI Crisis Prevention training is required for onboarding
A negative 14-panel drug screen (with specified substances) is required within 24 hours of offer acceptance
COVID vaccination is strongly encouraged
Only up to 5 days of requested time off will be approved; all requests must be submitted before placement
Orientation is provided
8-hour non-billable orientation included
Travelers from certain NY counties are not eligible for consideration
Previous and current agency staff must comply with updated onboarding training requirements

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of current X-Ray technologist experience required
Current New York State Radiologic Technologist license required if applicable
ARRT (R) and BLS (AHA) certifications required
EPIC EMR experience required
Permanent address must not be within excluded NY counties (Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, Washington)
Previous travel experience strongly preferred
One supervisory signed reference from within the last two years required
Profile must include matching permanent address and valid government-issued ID
