Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Vascular Technologist experienced in a full range of vascular ultrasound procedures and BLS certification for a weekday assignment.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based vascular laboratory setting
• Schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Primary caseload includes adult and geriatric patients
• Procedures performed include UE/LE venous, carotid, temporal artery duplex, abdominal (aorta/iliac, renal, mesenteric, portal) scans, hemodialysis access, venous insufficiency, arterial PVR, arterial duplex, bypass graft surveillance, palmar arch patency, and vein mapping
• Must be able to take call as needed
• Use of Epic EMR system
• Potential to float to a nearby sister hospital
• Responsible for preparing patients and performing detailed vascular studies across a broad spectrum of procedures
• Communicates significant clinical findings to NP, PA, or physician promptly
• Accurately documents all procedures in the recording system and medical record, and enters charges
• Maintains equipment, reports malfunctions, assists with special assignments, and ensures cleanliness and supply levels
• Supports standards of service excellence, teamwork, and compassionate communication
• Assignment limited to one year; must take a 30-60 day break before any return assignment
• Scrubs or attire requirements to be confirmed upon assignment
• Must be prepared to report to lab for compliance testing within 24 hours of assignment confirmation

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology required
• Minimum two years of experience as a Vascular Technologist preferred
• Active NJ license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• RVT or RVS certification preferred
• Proficiency in English (speak, read, write)
• Demonstrated competency in comprehensive vascular ultrasound procedures
• Ability to meet physical demands and comply with sterile and infection prevention protocols
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates considered
