Description

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Vascular Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and BLS certification to work in a busy vascular lab using Epic EMR.

Responsibilities

Work in a hospital-based vascular laboratory
Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
Perform exams including UE/LE venous, carotid, temporal artery duplex, abdominal studies (aorta/iliac, renal, mesenteric, portal), hemodialysis access, venous insufficiency, arterial PVR, arterial duplex, and vein mapping
Use Epic EMR for documentation
Typical schedule is Wednesday through Sunday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM on weekdays and 8:00 AM–4:00 PM on weekends
May be required to float to a nearby sister hospital
Prepare and care for adult and geriatric patients during vascular procedures
Report clinical changes to RN or physician and STAT results to providers
Document all procedures in the recording system and medical record
Maintain standards in sterile procedures and infection prevention
Perform related duties such as reporting equipment malfunctions, assisting peers, and cleaning work area
Scrub attire required per hospital policy
May be asked to work holidays as needed

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Vascular Technologist preferred
BLS certification required
RVT or RVS certification preferred
Demonstrated expertise in cardiovascular technology technical skills
Ability to take call as needed
Proficiency in English (speak, read, write)
Familiarity with Epic EMR
Active NJ license required if applicable
Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility (no locals)
