Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Cardiac/Med-Surg position requiring an active IL RN license and EPIC charting experience.

Responsibilities

• Work on a cardiac-focused medical/surgical unit
• Night shifts, 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Registered nurse role overseeing care for a group of cardiac and med-surg patients
• EPIC EMR system is used and experience is required
• Patient population includes cardiac and general med-surg cases
• Responsible for initial assessments, planning, and modifying patient care according to unit standards
• Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation and collaborates with the healthcare team
• Rotation may require floating depending on patient needs
• Maximum of 7 days off permitted per 13-week contract
• Contingent workers are not permitted to be on assignment for more than one year at a time and must take a 6-month break before returning
• No travel partners accepted
• Compliance paperwork deadlines must be met as specified prior to start
• Dress code and scrub color details provided upon assignment
• First-time travelers may be considered

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing or temporary license accepted
• Minimum of one year of recent relevant nursing experience required
• Associate's degree in nursing (ASN) required
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
• Documented experience in Level 1 trauma settings required
• EPIC charting experience required
• English proficiency required (speak, read, write)
• Local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible
