Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg Cardiac position requiring Epic experience and a valid Illinois RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Med/Surg Cardiac unit within a hospital setting
• Night shifts are scheduled from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, three days per week
• Patient care is focused on cardiac medical/surgical cases
• Epic EMR experience is required
• No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to cardiac Med/Surg patients on an assigned unit
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation in accordance with unit standards
• Develop, implement, and modify care plans based on patient assessments and ongoing evaluation
• Assignment requires no travel partners
• Request for time off may not exceed 7 days within a 13-week contract
• Candidates may not be on continuous assignment at the facility for over 1 year and will need a 6-month break before returning
• Compliance and documentation must be completed by the Monday 4pm CST prior to start date

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license or temporary license in good standing
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum of one year relevant nursing experience, with three years preferred
• Completion of an ASN program is required; BSN preferred
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma populations required
• Demonstrated proficiency with Epic charting
