Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist with 2+ years of home health experience, a current MA license, and CCC certification for a home health assignment.

Responsibilities

• Home health setting providing speech therapy services to agency clients
• Responsible for direct patient care and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
• Primary caseload is in the patient's home and requires independent work
• Candidate must use their own personal vehicle for work-related travel
• Speech-language pathologist will develop individualized, comprehensive care plans in collaboration with healthcare team members
• Expectation to provide direct patient care and participate in team meetings
• All time off requests must be submitted with initial application; no more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted
• Travelers who reside within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
• Candidate support includes collaboration with agency clinicians and administrative staff

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of SLP home care experience required
• MA Speech-Language Pathologist license required if applicable
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required; Clinical Fellow candidates are accepted
• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
• Valid driver license required
• Candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required
• Familiarity with rehabilitation equipment, language/communication aids, devices, and wheelchairs required
• Submission of a work history, skills checklist current within one year, and a supervisory signed reference from the past two years is required
