Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Charge RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring prior charge experience and GA or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a hospital setting
• Charge RN position overseeing a 10-bed floor with a maximum nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5
• Patients are general med/surg adult population
• Night shift hours, either 3x12 or 4x12 with a rotating schedule and every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Potential to float to other departments during emergencies
• Uses CPSI EMR system, training provided if needed
• Charge nurse responsibilities include supervising staff and assisting in other departments during emergencies
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• No requested time off (RTO) permitted for this assignment

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience with previous charge nurse experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required; PALS preferred
• Two professional references required at time of consideration
