Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool position in Massachusetts, requiring current telemetry skills and the flexibility to float between units frequently.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital setting with assignment to various Med/Surg units
• Flexibility required to float to any Med/Surg unit, with potential to change units every 4 hours
• Patient care for a diverse Med/Surg population including telemetry cases
• May use Meditech Expanse EMR; prior experience highly preferred
• Scheduled shifts without block scheduling
• Responsibilities include caring for Med/Surg patients in multiple units and providing telemetry monitoring
• Requires completion of skills checklist and recent signed supervisory reference for job consideration
• Applicants must submit permanent address and all time-off requests at the time of application; no scheduling changes allowed post-offer
• No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) will be considered
• Facility does not approve block scheduling requests
• First-time travelers are eligible for consideration

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of current Medical Surgical experience required
• Current experience with telemetry nursing required
• Completion of a Basic Dysrhythmia course required
• Certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS, all active at time of consideration
• Meditech Expanse EMR experience highly preferred
• Willingness and ability to float to all Med/Surg units required
• Applicant must have their own vehicle for transportation
• Candidates must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
