Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with at least 2 years of recent OR experience and a CO or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in a 14-suite Operating Room unit within a 408-bed hospital
- Day shift from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Circulate independently with a 1:1 patient ratio
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including OR RNs, CSTs, anesthesia techs, and service line leaders
- Utilize standard OR equipment and Stryker video systems
- Electronic Medical Record system is Meditech
Requirements
- Active CO or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience
- Ability to circulate independently in the OR
- Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification necessary
- CNOR certification and Meditech EMR experience preferred
- Applicants must not reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
Additional Information
- Perform a wide range of surgical procedures, excluding transplant cases
- Adapt to a team-oriented environment with 60 full-time staff
- No local candidates will be considered due to the 50-mile radius requirement
- First-time travelers will be considered for this role
- Friendly and adaptable personalities sought for unit fit
- Scrub experience is preferred but not required

Swedish hospital has extremely good talent. They only employ the best in their fields. It is a level 1 trauma hospital and we get patients from all over the world daily. I love my job and the company. I am a Native of Colorado and am at the stage in my life where I want to travel. I took time off to raise my son. He is now 22.
Cons
Schedule flexibility, constantly changing staff. I am the only social worker that is left. People that were there for 31 years that recruited me left due to my current Leadership. But I am a very good worker that get along with any Leadership or coworkers. I am a very good producer and excel amd go above and beyond so Leadership never has problems with me. So I love Swedish and will miss it. I just want to travel.
