Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring flexibility to cover various shifts and advanced perinatal certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Labor & Delivery unit with coverage for L&D, Postpartum, and newborn care
• Patient population includes laboring mothers, postpartum patients, and newborns
• Average of 40 deliveries and 6 C-sections per month
• 12-hour day shifts with flexibility to work other shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
• May be required to float to other hospital departments within competency
• Possibility to serve as charge nurse after appropriate training
• Travelers may be expected to handle a patient load or provide task-based support in floated departments based on experience and competence
• Orientation takes place only on Mondays; delays in compliance may result in a later start date
• May occasionally function as a charge nurse after appropriate training
• Scrub or dress code details available upon offer

Requirements

• Active AZ or compact RN license required
• Minimum 5 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care in a healthcare setting
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS or ALSO, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) or RNC-EFM
• Ability to work flexible schedule including holidays and weekends
