Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with Level I trauma experience and proficiency in robotic surgeries for a hospital setting in PA.

Responsibilities

• Position in the Operating Room of a Level I trauma hospital
• Requires ability to scrub and circulate
• Day shift with 4x10 hour shifts, 7:00am - 5:30pm
• Weekend coverage of 3-4 shifts within a 6 week schedule, which may include days, evenings, or nights
• On-call required 2-3 times within a 6 week period with a 30-minute response time
• Floating to other units as needed
• Care for COVID patients may be required
• Robotic surgeries utilize the Davinci xi and DV5 robots exclusively
• Must function independently in all required specialties without need for refresher training
• Holiday coverage is required as needed and may involve any shift
• Facility is tobacco and fragrance free
• Maximum of 7 days of time off allowed for the assignment
• Local candidates considered at a reduced rate
• Could be assigned to patients with COVID-19

Requirements

• Active PA or Compact RN license required
• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room RN experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Level I trauma experience required, or at least 1 year of Level II trauma experience
• Proficiency with Davinci xi robot is required; familiarity with DV5 robot is preferred
• Must be independently competent in robotic, orthopedics, general, GYN, urology, bariatrics, ENT, plastics, vascular, thoracic (excluding cardiac and open heart), and trauma specialties
• BLS certification required
