Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position in an LDRP unit with Epic EMR and every other weekend required.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital-based LDRP unit within a Level III Trauma Center and Critical Access Hospital
- Care for laboring women, postpartum patients, and newborns
- Patient ratios are 1:1 for active labor and 1:3 for postpartum, following AWHONN standards
- Required to float between units and across facilities based on staffing needs
- Day shifts consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 to 19:00
- Every other weekend work required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Epic charting system is used and experience is required
- Scrubs in any color are acceptable, and scrubs are provided for critical care and maternal child areas
- Parking is available at no cost
- Floating to multiple facilities may be required; incentive pay and accommodations are available for certain locations
- Duties may include labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care as appropriate to skill set
- Minimal to no RTO is allowed and must be requested at the time of application
- First-time travelers are accepted
- This is a teaching hospital environment
Requirements
- Active OR RN license is required
- Current BLS and NRP certifications are required
- Minimum of 2 years' LDRP experience preferred
- Experience with Epic EMR required
- Must have a vehicle for assignment
- Supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last three years in a comparable specialty or setting are required
- Former perm staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and cannot live within 50 miles of the facility
