Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist with at least 2 years of recent cardiac catheterization and advanced interventional procedure experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a short-term acute care teaching hospital setting
• Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts, variable start and end times between 07:00-17:30/19:00
• Weekend shifts are required
• On-call required, typically 1 weekend on-call shift every 4 weeks and 7-9 on-call shifts per month
• No floating to other units or sister facilities
• Patient population includes adults with diagnoses such as chest pain, NSTEMI, STEMI, valve disease, and pulmonary hypertension
• Procedures include left and right heart catheterizations, complex PCI, thrombectomy, balloon angioplasty, stent placement, Impella insertion, Rotablader procedures, and carotid stenting
• Uses Cerner EMR with experience preferred
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this assignment
• No RTO allowed in the contract; requests for time off may be discussed during interview if applicable
• Red scrubs are required in this department
• Parking is provided at no cost

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a cardiac cath lab with experience in advanced interventional procedures
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• National certification through ARRT or RCIS and current FL license required
• EKG interpretation and scrub skills required
• COVID-19 vaccination required (exemptions accepted for medical or religious reasons)
• License required if applicable
