Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position requiring a KY or compact license, with strong dysrhythmia management skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Telemetry unit of a hospital setting
• Patient ratios typically 1:3-4
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Care for patients requiring dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Non-invasive airway and O2 protocol management included
• Duties include blood product administration and line care for both peripheral and central lines
• Required to use computerized documentation systems
• Must provide care for telemetry patients with varied levels of acuity
• Involved in central and peripheral line management and blood product administration
• Follow isolation protocols and proper PPE use as part of standard workflows
• Drip management and non-invasive airway interventions are part of daily responsibilities
• Documentation required in computerized charting systems

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required prior to assignment
• Minimum of 2 years recent telemetry nursing experience
• Strong skills in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Experience with rapid response team activation
• Two professional references required for consideration
