Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department Short Stay position requiring an active NY RN license and Epic EMR proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department Short Stay Unit
• Day shifts from 07:00 to 19:30
• 13-week assignment length
• Patient population includes emergency department short stay cases
• Use of Epic EMR is required
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• More than 3 call outs in a 13-week period will result in contract termination, with makeup shifts required within 6 weeks
• RTO (requested time off) must be submitted with the application
• Local candidates from Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington counties within a 50-mile radius are not eligible
• Travel pairs are not allowed for this assignment

Requirements

• Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent emergency department RN experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or RQI
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the last 12 months
• US Social Security Number required (no Canadian SIN accepted)
• Flu vaccination required unless medically exempt with documentation from a licensed professional
