Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an outpatient pediatric oncology case manager position requiring CA RN license, oncology, and case management experience.
Responsibilities
- Outpatient pediatric oncology setting
- Case manager role supporting pediatric oncology patients
- Work schedule is 5x8 hour days, with flexibility for 3x8 or 4x8 hour shifts
- Day shift hours, generally 8:00 to 16:30
- No on-call or weekend requirements
- Responsibilities include developing individualized patient care road maps and coordinating multidisciplinary care
- Accountable for assessment, care planning, implementation of physician orders, and treatment coordination
- Duties include coordinating follow-up care, ordering labs and referrals, managing authorizations, and facilitating transition planning
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to evaluate care processes and outcomes
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience required
- Some case management experience required
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Oncology background required
- No first-time travelers will be considered
