Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Long Term Acute Care position requiring a NC or compact RN license and recent specialty experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is located in a Med/Surg unit within a long-term acute care hospital setting
• Day shift from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• 13-week assignment
• Care for adult patients requiring extended hospital-level care
• Responsibilities include providing nursing care to patients with critical and long-term needs on a Med/Surg unit
• Staff must clock in and out using the hospital’s electronic timekeeping system
• Holiday coverage and floating to other units may be required within a 25-mile radius
• Local candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
• Candidates with current or recent permanent employment at any facility under the client are ineligible for travel positions

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• At least 2 years of recent Med/Surg or LTAC RN experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; RCIS and RQI not accepted
• No certification may expire within the first 30 days of the assignment
• No work history gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Candidates must not be currently employed in a permanent role at any location with the client
• Full US Social Security Number is required for consideration
