Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position in Illinois requiring EPIC and Level 1 Trauma experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a medical-surgical unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 7:00am to 7:30pm, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Care for a variety of adult medical-surgical patients
• Use EPIC EMR for all patient documentation
• No floating, travel partners, or local candidates accepted (50 mile radius rule applies)
• Provide direct care and develop care plans for assigned patients using the nursing process
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation to support the healthcare team
• Collaborate with colleagues and provide constructive feedback for professional development
• RTO requests not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
• Maximum of one year of continuous assignment at Carle Health before requiring a 6-month break or conversion
• Candidates must be fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing)
• Compliance documents and background checks must be completed by the Monday prior to start date

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing; temporary licenses accepted
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Minimum of one year of recent relevant Med/Surg nursing experience
• Demonstrated experience with EPIC EMR
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Minimum education of Associate's Degree in Nursing
