Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with Circulate skills and Cerner charting experience for a night shift position.

Responsibilities

• Work in a community hospital with 16 operating rooms
• Patient population includes General Surgery, Bariatrics, GYN, Urology, ENT, Orthopedics, Plastics, Spine, Robotics, Thoracic, Peripheral Vascular, and Pediatric surgical cases
• Performs circulating duties in the Operating Room
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts, either Friday to Sunday or Saturday to Monday (18:30-7:00)
• Orientation provided on day shift for 2 weeks before transitioning to nights
• All travelers must be willing to float within the hospital or to affiliated nearby hospitals
• Uses Cerner EMR; experience with Cerner is required
• Must be able to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• First time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates are accepted for this perioperative role
• Returning permanent or PRN employees must be separated from employment for at least 12 months before returning as travelers
• Up to 5 days of requested time off may be auto-approved

Requirements

• Active IN or Compact RN license required and must be in hand at the time of consideration
• Current BCLS certification from AHA or RQI accepted
• Minimum of 18 months to 2 years Operating Room RN experience required
• Circulate experience in the Operating Room is required
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing school
• Prior experience with Cerner charting required
