Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit night shift position requiring a NC or compact license and recent nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) on the 7th floor of a hospital
• Care for patients with complex medical conditions requiring intermediate-level monitoring
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:00am, three shifts per week
• 13-week contract assignment
• Coordinate and deliver nursing care using the nursing process for patients with complex conditions
• Participate in multidisciplinary care planning and evaluation to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Perform bedside point-of-care testing as required
• Contribute to unit goals, professional growth, and quality improvement activities
• Promote patient and family education using relevant educational materials
• Maintain a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or compact state
• Minimum one year of nursing experience required
• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) from an accredited school
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC
• Certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) preferred
