Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with ARRT certification and recent MRI experience for weekend 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital MRI department using Cerner EMR
• Weekend schedule: Saturday to Monday, 12-hour day shifts (Monday 8:00 AM–8:30 PM; Saturday/Sunday 7:30 AM–8:00 PM)
• Patient population includes a variety of cases requiring MRI diagnostic procedures
• May float to a nearby sister hospital as needed
• Procedures performed under supervision of certified radiologists
• Responsible for ensuring patient care and safety during MRI procedures
• Assist with instruction and supervision of student MRI technologists
• Promote a professional and positive environment, maintaining strict confidentiality
• Exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and risk of radiation are inherent in this role
• Weekend and possible holiday coverage required
• Dress code requires a professional and business-like appearance
• Assignment limited to one year; requires a 30-60 day break before returning

Requirements

• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Provider card required
• Graduate of an accredited school of Allied Health Professionals
• Strong MRI imaging and cross-sectional anatomy experience preferred
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Comfort with frequent lifting and moving of patients (up to 50 lbs) and standing/walking
• Active SC or compact state license required if applicable
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates)
