Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position requiring a current MI RN license and strong neonatal care skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a hospital setting
• Cares for maternity and neonatal patients
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend requirement of 1.5 weekends every 4 weekends
• No on-call responsibilities
• Applicants must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• Perform regular assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for maternity and neonatal patients
• Administer medications, provide direct patient care, and respond to clinical needs promptly
• Collaborate with other healthcare team members to update and improve care plans
• Updates and clarifies medication orders as needed
• No local candidates considered within a 50-mile radius
• Maximum of 5 days of requested time off allowed

Requirements

• Active Michigan (MI) RN license required
• Minimum of 3 years recent L&D experience required
• Current certifications in BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NRP required
• Completion of a Labor & Delivery skills checklist within the past year required
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required
