Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN with a current MI license and advanced certifications for 12-hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Care for both acutely ill and nonacute patients in a high-stress, fast-paced environment
• 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Must reside outside a 100-mile radius from the facility
• Triage patients, perform assessments, and intervene independently in life-threatening situations
• Initiate patient care and assist physicians with procedures
• Process and follow up on physician orders, including medication changes and clarifications
• Regularly update and evaluate treatment plans in collaboration with the care team
• Provide discharge and follow-up instructions to patients and families
• First-time travelers may not be prioritized
• No more than 5 days of requested time off are permitted

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required
• Travel nursing experience highly preferred
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), NRP, TNCC
• Submission of a work history, recent ER skills checklist, and two supervisory references taken within the last two years required
