Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring recent Epic experience and an OH or compact RN license.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift position with 3 twelve-hour shifts per week (7:00 pm - 7:30 am)
• Patient population includes a mix of medical and surgical telemetry cases
• Epic EMR system experience within the last 6 months is required
• Assignments available for 13 to 18 weeks based on candidate preference
• Holiday coverage required for at least every other holiday
• Duties include monitoring telemetry patients, administering medications, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary care team
• Assessment tests must be completed in orientation with acceptable scores
• Assignments at any location cannot exceed 18 consecutive months and a 6-month break is required before returning
• Accepts travelers for first time as long as all experience and reference requirements are met

Requirements

• Active OH or compact state RN license in hand
• A minimum of 18 months recent permanent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience prior to travel roles
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Recent Epic charting experience within the last 6 months
• At least one recent reference from nursing leadership in Med/Surg Telemetry required
• Passing scores required on ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
