Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of OR experience to join a dynamic acute care diagnostic radiology team.
Responsibilities
- Position is in an acute care hospital radiology department
- Work includes rotating across all diagnostic areas including Fluoro, Mobile, Routine, OR, Endoscopy, and Orthopedics
- Procedures performed include diagnostic X-rays, fluoroscopy, and intraoperative imaging using C-arm and O-arm
- Department operates with 3 X-ray rooms, 6 C-arms, and O-arm with equipment from Del Medical, OEC, and Siemens
- Uses Epic EMR and Fuji Synapse PACS; experience with these systems preferred
- Scheduled for four 10-hour day shifts per week with rotating weekend assignments (weekends are evening shifts from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm)
- No call required as department is staffed 24/7
- Must float to all diagnostic radiology areas as needed for skill development
- Main responsibilities include performing diagnostic X-rays, fluoroscopy, and supporting OR cases such as Cysto and orthopedic imaging
- Work with a supportive team including radiology leads and in-house radiologists
- Department does not require starting IVs
- Scrubs must be black in color; scrubs are not provided
- Candidates must not have worked at any WVU Medicine location in the past 2 years
- Travelers may not be employed within WVU for longer than one year and must take a two-year break before returning; cumulative WVU experience applies
- No local travelers accepted; candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist, including experience in the operating room
- Current ARRT (R) certification and BLS certification required
- Experience with a range of imaging equipment including C-arms and O-arm
- License required if applicable

Schedule could use some work, alternating weekends vs every 4th weekend. The hospital could be cleaner. The equipment works but is limited to two rooms for all patients, inpatient, outpatient, and ER- 2 rooms with 2 portables.
